Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a field sales professional to drive sales, market share and profitability in an assigned territory. You will contribute to discovery, development and delivery of products to patients and customers, with opportunities to collaborate internationally within BI network.

The role requires building product knowledge, developing customer relationships, and achieving sales objectives while adhering to regulations.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–5 years field sales experience in a competitive environment.
• Animal health or related industry experience preferred.
• Ability to work with general supervision.
• Strong knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Excellent presenting skills to varied audience.
• Must travel and reside in territory or relocate.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales objectives and support attainment of district and regional/business-unit performance objectives.
• Develop market, customer, and industry knowledge and use resources; conduct training meetings.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and selling skills to influence customer use of promoted products.
• Utilize CRM tools to create pre-call plans; keep territory records and report to management.
• Analyze territory data to optimize calls and develop annual business plan.
• Comply with regulations and company policies; demonstrate ethical standards.
