Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Manager, Animal Facility to lead the CDI animal care program. You will oversee staff, ensure compliance with all applicable standards, and coordinate biosafety, training, and SOP development.

Responsibilities include managing contracts, equipment, and procurement, while aligning with federal and accreditation requirements and improving daily operations in the animal facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for the role.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• FBI background check and regulatory approvals may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees supervision and performance of all animal care staff.
• Ensures compliance with federal, accreditation and industry standards.
• Develops SOPs for biohazards and coordinates with Biosafety and Radiation Officers.
• Manages service contracts, purchasing, and billing related to the facility.
• Assists in training staff on laws, regulations, and animal handling.
