Job Summary

We are seeking anAnimal Caretaker IforourInsourcing Solutionssite located inBaltimore, MD.

As theAnimal Caretaker I, you will provide husbandry and veterinary assistance in a laboratory for small animals, as well as monitor animal health and report findings.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Prepare caging for cagewash.
• Perform daily animal health observations and report any abnormal conditions or behavior. Monitor and report irregularities in environmental conditions that may affect animals.
• Clean assigned animal rooms, facility and animal care equipment, and associated animal facility areas. Obtain weekly animal census.
• Ensure logbooks, checklists and other records are completed accurately in a timely fashion.
• Provide environmental enrichment feed and other enrichment stimuli and/ or provide behavioral assessments.

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum requirements related to the Animal Caretaker Iposition:

• High school diploma or GED
• AALAS certification at the ALAT level within one year of eligibility
• 1-year related experience in animal care
• 3 months working with lab animal species, most applicable rodents, preferred

The pay for this position is$18.47 USD per hour.
