Job summary

Swine Vet Center Management is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our sow farm team in Minnesota. You will provide daily care for pigs, assist with piglet processing and vaccinations, and help maintain clean, safe housing to support animal health.

This position requires reliable attendance, effective communication, teamwork, and basic math and data-entry skills. Work is performed in a barn environment with exposure to odors and noise; you must follow safety and biosecurity protocols.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Reliable and consistent attendance

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for pigs, including feeding, breeding, farrowing, and weaning
• Assist with piglet processing and vaccinations
• Safely move animals and clean animal housing areas
• Perform power washing and maintain a sanitary environment
• Monitor feed, water, and ventilation systems to support animal health
• Accurately record farm and animal data
• Contribute to team goals and special projects as needed
• Strictly follow all safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols
