Job Summary

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team in Cambridge, MA.

As an Animal Care Technician I, you will adhere to SOPs and quality assurance standards to monitor, observe, and record animal health and welfare daily, along with performing various standard animal husbandry duties.

• Maintain accurate records of animal breeding, health, and housing.
• Follow procedures to maintain housing areas, including entry protocols, PPE use, and equipment sanitation.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming animals; operate equipment following safety guidelines.
• Assist in breeding and weaning programs, including duties like sexing and ensuring production levels.
• Work with the supervisor and veterinarian to handle and manipulate animals such as mice, rats, and possibly rabbits.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• 6 to 12 months of related animal husbandry experience.
• Interest in achieving ALAT certification upon eligibility.

The pay range for this position is $23-25 per hour, with salaries varying based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
