LabCorp Development has helped pharmaceutical and biotech companies develop one-third of all prescription medicines in the market today. Chances are, you or someone you know has benefitedfrom a medicine or medical device that LabCorp helped develop.Your role is vital to improving the health of family, friends and animals.

How will you be rewarded:

  • Pay Range: $18.00/hr.-$19.00/hr. (plus 5% shift differential)

  • The training schedule is typically set from 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM CST for the first 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Full-time daytime hours available. Once fully trained you can take advantage of our flexible start times as early as 6:00am or as late as 8:00am , will require working some weekends and holidays.

  • Enjoy 24 days of personal-time-off (PTO) (pro-rated depending on start date).

  • We provide a well-defined career advancement path featuring five distinct levels, each accompanied by a corresponding salary increase.

  • Have the option to participate in the LabCorp Education Advantage program where you have access to over 15 Undergraduate On-line Degree Programs offered through Arizona State University (ASU). Tuition is paid by LabCorp!

What will you be doing:

This entry level role requires no experience, just an interest in working with small and large animals in a laboratory setting.

  • Maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC)

  • Performing daily cleaning, feeding of our laboratory animals

  • Providing environmental and dietary enrichment

  • Learning and applying proper handling and restraint techniques.

  • Working in a fast paced, team environment?

Preferred Experience:

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Animal Care Experience : Demonstrated proficiency in handling animals.

  • Additional Related Experiences : Any other relevant animal experiences or certifications related to the position.

  • Work History : Proven track record of structured and reliable work.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Due to biosecurity requirements, we are unable to consider candidates who are actively enrolled in educational programs or courses that involve direct exposure to rodents or rabbits.
  • Education not required.

  • No experience required.

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Must be able to speak, write, read English.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
