Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Animal handling in a veterinary, commercial, or industry setting preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: ALAT, LAT, or LATG preferred.
• Other: Accurate data keeping in GLP-compliant records; meet Animal Care Technician I core competencies.

Responsabilités

• Change room filters and clean behind vents.
• Clean animal rooms and housing per senior-devised schedules; sweep, mop, change cage pans, wash water bottles.
• Feed and water laboratory animals; monitor consumption.
• Assist in handling and grooming, weighing and receiving animals.
• Monitor chlorine, air flow, and water pressure; observe animal health and wellbeing.
• Record study data and husbandry data in electronic systems; follow GLP SOPs and study protocols.
