Your Role as a Part-Time Animal Care Specialist

Your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Providing care for animals, ensuring access to food, water, and a comfortable environment.
2. Assisting with animal movement.
3. Treating and vaccinating animals.
4. Assisting in power washing.
5. Promoting a safe work environment.
6. Maintaining PQA certification (training provided on the job).
7. Following all bio-security policies and procedures.
8. Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
9. Demonstrating Schwartz Farms' values of integrity, respect, excellence, and adaptability.
10. Engaging in SFI's animal welfare policy, promoting animal well-being, and reporting mistreatment or abuse.
11. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Work with your manager to establish a schedule and weekend rotation. Your adaptability will be essential as you respond to the needs of the animals and the farm, whether assisting with routine care or participating in special projects.
