YOUR ROLE AS A ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST (PART-TIME)

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be both fulfilling and dynamic. This position will provide support to the breeding or farrowing teams by:

• Providing care for animals, ensuring they have access to food, water and a comfortable environment
• Assisting with movement of animals
• Treating and vaccinating animals
• Assisting in power washing
• Promoting a safe work environment
• Maintaining PQA certification status (provided on the job)
• Following all bio-security policies and procedures
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with reasonable accommodation
• Demonstrating Schwartz Farms' values of integrity, respect, excellence and adaptability
• Advocating and engaging in SFI's animal welfare policy, including promoting animal well-being, remedying circumstances which impede animal care, and properly reporting instances of mistreatment or abuse
• Additional duties may be assigned as they arise
