Harvard Medical School is seeking an Animal Care Facility Supervisor to lead the Harvard Center for Comparative Medicine facilities and staff. You will ensure compliant operations, supervise technicians, and partner with veterinarians and procurement to coordinate animal movement and colony health.

The role requires a minimum of four years in animal care facilities management with supervisory experience, plus experience with rodents.

Competenze

• Minimum 4 years in animal care facilities management with increasing responsibility.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience working with rodents required.
• LATg certification preferred or eligible.

Mansioni

• Oversee animal facility staff to ensure outstanding animal care and safe operations.
• Manage personnel actions including performance reviews and onboarding.
• Coordinate supplies and inventory for feed, bedding, and enrichment.
• Provide researchers with husbandry support and facility access.
• Develop and implement SOPs for animal care and cage wash operations.
• Provide training to staff on SOPs and safety requirements.
• Maintain records on animal census, equipment validation, and attendance.
• Collaborate with EH&S to promote a safe work environment.
