We are hiring for an Animal Care Assistant to join our fantastic team!

Here at De Montfort Veterinary Hospital, we are looking for an Animal Care Assistant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will include:

• Handling patients for basis procedures
• Assisting with running diagnostic tests
• Setting up our theatre for procedures
• Running our kennel area and ensuring all patients have their basic husbandry needs attended to
• Reception and front of house tasks including greeting clients, answering phones, making appointments, taking payments, dispensing medication and promoting our preventative health plans.

You will be working under the guidance of a friendly and supportive team consisting of 4 FTE Veterinary Surgeons, 9 FTE RVS, 1 SVN and 3 support staff. Part time candidates will be considered.

About the rota

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week with a variety of shifts ranging from 8;00am to 7:30pm with a contribution to Saturday mornings.
