Job summary

The Vascular Experts in Watertown, CT seeks an Angio Suite Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures. Responsibilities span pre-op, intra-procedural, and post-procedure care with thorough documentation.

Qualified candidates hold an AS or BS in Nursing and an active CT RN license, plus at least two years in Cath Lab/IR or critical care, with BCLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• AS or BS in Nursing with active CT RN license.
• Minimum 2 years in Cath Lab or Vascular/IR, ED, or ICU.
• Certified in BCLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure: pre-call checklist, consent, IV access, pre-op meds and fluids, review medical history, and hand off to Sedation Nurse.
• Intra-procedural: monitor patient, administer conscious sedation per MD orders, document events, time-out participation, monitor vitals.
• Post-procedure: monitor groin and vitals, assess access site, provide discharge instructions, follow-up calls at 24 hours.
