Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Raleigh Area Command in Raleigh, NC is seeking warehouse support roles for the upcoming holiday season. Positions include part-time and full-time hours, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays, November through December 2026, to help with donors and Angel Tree donations.

Responsibilities include processing donations, keeping the warehouse organized, and providing a positive image of the organization.

Qualifications

• One year warehouse experience OR equivalent training/experience.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift 10–25 lbs and perform warehouse duties.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule/Hours: Part-time & Full-time positions available, Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, November through December 2026

This position is responsible for:

• Assisting donors when dropping off Angel Tree donations, processing and sorting donations, keeping Christmas warehouse clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with the layout and setup of the warehouse.


• Processes incoming Angel Tree donations to ensure they are accounted for and properly assigned.


• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse. Ensures trash is taken to the dumpster when custodial staff isn’t present.


• Assist donors who are dropping off donors and promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.


• Assist with unloading trucks with donation deliveries and other necessary supplies.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.


• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.


• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects (10 – 25 lbs).


• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, and standing.


• Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required, and


• One year experience working in a warehouse environment OR


• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
