Job summary

The Salvation Army in Burlington, NC is seeking a part-time coordinator to manage the Angel Tree program. 32 hours per week, Tue-Sat, 10AM-4PM, with duties in volunteer coordination and warehouse support.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in an office environment, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. A valid driver’s license is required.

Salary Range: $10.00 - $10.50 Hourly

Job Category: Christmas

Schedule/Hours: 32 hrs. per week. Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-4PM (Flexible).

This position is responsible for:

Managing the Angel Tree Program for The Salvation Army in Alamance County

Key Responsibilities

• Recruits, trains, coordinates the work of volunteers to meet Christmas program needs
• Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
• Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse; Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse
• Assists in working in all areas of the Christmas warehouse operations as needed.
• Maintains good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
