Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Raleigh Area Command in Raleigh, NC is seeking dedicated warehouse staff for the Christmas season. This role supports both part-time and full-time shifts, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays from November through December 2026.

You will assist donors, sort and process Angel Tree donations, and maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities include warehouse layout, unloading donation deliveries, and representing the organization

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• One year experience in a warehouse OR equivalent training/experience.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule/Hours: Part-time & Full-time positions available, Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, November through December 2026

This position is responsible for:

• Assisting donors when dropping off Angel Tree donations, processing and sorting donations, keeping Christmas warehouse clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with the layout and setup of the warehouse.


• Processes incoming Angel Tree donations to ensure they are accounted for and properly assigned.


• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse. Ensures trash is taken to the dumpster when custodial staff isn’t present.


• Assist donors who are dropping off donors and promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.


• Assist with unloading trucks with donation deliveries and other necessary supplies.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.


• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.


• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects (10 – 25 lbs).


• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, and standing.


• Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required, and


• One year experience working in a warehouse environment OR


• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
