LEADERSHIP POSITION + COMPETIVE COMPENSATION PACKAGE

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Board-Certified Facility Medical Director to lead the team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospitalin beautiful Port Charlotte, Florida.

The Facility Medical Director is responsible for the oversight and management of all clinical operations including staffing and utilization of fulltime and premium contingent labor, compliance with protocols and practice standards as well as managing the relationships between Anesthesia and the Hospital’s MSO, Surgical Services and C-Suite/Administration. They will work in partnership with the facility’s Director of Physician Services, the Assistant Vice President of Operations and with the Regional Medical Director in their market.

The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator, one that is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and able to successfully partner with facility leadership and ancillary departments. This individual will also have a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards and value practice stability and retaining our talented team members.

• Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:Care Team Model: 4 General Anesthesiologists, 3 CV Anesthesiologists, and 15 CRNAs
• 10 ORs plus Cath Lab, IR, Endo and 6 NORA sites of service
• Average annual surgical volume is approx. 7500 cases with 25-30 cases per day
• Mix of cases including Bread and Butter, Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro. General, Urology, ENT, Bariatric, Vascular, GYN, Thoracic. No Ob. No Trauma. No Peds
• Average work week is 45 hours scheduled in-hours. Monday-Friday
• Call is beeper from home, 7p-7a weekdays and is shared amongst Physicians with 2 CRNAs also on call from home. Each Physician is expected to do up to 7 Beeper Call shifts a month inclusive of 1 weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun. Off Monday) Calls picked up beyond the agreed upon number are paid out with additional compensation
• Must be regional block proficient to support robust opioid-sparing and ERAS programs
• Primarily supervision but should be comfortable doing own cases occasionally
