Responsibilities include preparing equipment and drugs, starting access lines, and supporting ventilation during resuscitation as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with anesthesia-related patient care and plan education.
• Ability to verify patient readiness for anesthesia and document adherence to guidelines.
• Familiarity with perioperative workflows and PHI compliance.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient and review essential data to verify readiness for anesthetic.
• Assist in education of patient and family regarding the anesthetic plan and risks.
• Prepare patient by starting access lines and initiating preoperative therapies.
• Prepare equipment and drugs for the planned anesthetic.
• Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence per guidelines.
• Ensure safe transport to post-operative area and smooth handoff.
• Support ventilation and intubation as part of resuscitation team.
