Qualifications

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care and interact with patients.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in professional practice.
  • Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide age-specific patient care per department policy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with medical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, age-appropriate anesthesia following guidelines.
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgeries under physician supervision.
  • Document pre- and post-anesthetic evaluations.
  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia.
  • Provide induction, maintenance, emergence and post-anesthesia care.
  • Support residents and medical students on anesthesia rotations.
  • Coordinate patient care with the inter-professional team and report to leadership.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
