Job summary

The Nashville VA Medical Center invites you to join as an Anesthesiologist, delivering full scope perioperative care for surgical, dental and specialized procedures in a mission-driven setting.

You will provide general and monitored anesthesia, manage fluid/electrolyte balance and cardiovascular stability, respond to critical events, and participate in SICU and inpatient perioperative management with a Monday–Friday schedule. This is a federal benefits-eligible role serving Veterans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general and monitored anesthesia care.
• Administer sedation and analgesia.
• Manage fluids, electrolytes, cardiovascular stability, and metabolic function.
• Respond to critical situations including resuscitation across all age groups.
• Involve SICU and perioperative management on inpatient wards, including consults, optimization, discharge planning.
