Odyssey Locums is seeking a Locum Anesthesiologist to cover a facility near Bloomington Heights, IL. The role requires cardiac capability and board certification or fellowship, with Epic charting and MD supervision of CRNAs.

Shifts include day coverage with 8–24 hour options, on-call pager duties, and holiday shifts. Candidates willing to obtain IL license are encouraged to apply; credentialing around 90 days is typical.

Qualifications

• Must be Cardiac capable and able to handle general, cardiac, neuro, ortho and OB cases.
• Board-certified or fellowship-trained anesthesiologist required.
• Willing to obtain state license if not currently licensed in IL.
• Minimum 1 year of experience; no new graduates.
• Credentialing timeframe around 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in a facility with 9 ORs.
• MDs supervise CRNAs with a 1:4 MD to CRNA ratio.
• Work night/weekend/holiday shifts and on-call duties as scheduled.
• No MDs doing their own cases; collaborate for complex cases as needed.

• Shifts: 8hrs, 10 hrs, 24 hrs.
• Day Shift: Yes.
• OT: Not expected but offered.
• Weeknight - On Call (Pager): Yes.
• Weekend - On Call (Pager): Yes.
• Holiday (Shift): Offered.
• Holiday (Call): Offered.
• Case Type(s): General , Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, OB.
• MUST be Cardiac Capable - no TEE/ fellowship required.
• Board Certification or Fellowship Required: Yes.
• Willing to Accept Candidates Needing to Obtain State License: Yes.

• Number of Anesthesia Rooms: 9.
