As a Pediatric Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA), working under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists, you will play a vital role as part of the anesthesia care team by administering anesthesia primarily to pediatric surgery patients under the age of 18. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia to pediatric patients.
In this role, you will work closely with the anesthesia team, including anesthesiologist assistants, resident physicians, UT approved students, surgical team and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the specific needs of each pediatric patient. You will collaborate with attending anesthesiologists to prepare and administer anesthetic agents, carefully monitor patients' vital signs and bodily functions, and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary throughout medical or surgical procedures.
