Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a Cardiac Pediatric Anesthesiologist Assistant to assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia for pediatric surgeries. This role involves monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as needed during procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and completion of a CAAHEP-accredited two-year Anesthesia Assistant program.
• Certified Anesthesiology Assistant (CAA) by the NCCAA.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
• Establish multi-parameter monitoring before anesthesia.
• Assist in postoperative care, managing ventilator support.
