UTHealth Houston is seeking a Cardiac Pediatric Anesthesiologist Assistant to assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia for pediatric surgeries. This role involves monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as needed during procedures.

As a Cardiac Pediatric Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will assist attending anesthesiologists in administering and monitoring anesthesia for pediatric surgical patients, primarily under 18 years old, including those with congenital heart disease. You will collaborate with the anesthesiology team and other healthcare professionals to develop tailored care plans, prepare, administer anesthetic agents, monitor vital signs, adjust anesthesia levels during procedures, and manage any complications that arise.
Bachelor’s Degree and completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)-accredited two-year Anesthesia Assistant program. No prior experience required.
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
