Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC seeks an anesthesiologist to provide inpatient coverage for diverse surgical cases in a 220+ bed hospital in Richmond, VA. The role includes adult and pediatric general anesthesia, plus regional techniques as needed.

Responsibilities include supervision of CRNAs, weekend call coverage, and thorough documentation in Epic with hours logged in the Vemsta system. Active Indiana license or IMLC is required.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Medical License or IMLC required.
• Board Certification preferred; eligible accepted with certification within 5 years.
• BLS required; ACLS required if conscious sedation privileges requested.
• Must be fully credentialed with the locum agency; provide 12 months of procedure logs.
• Commitment to orientation and all listed coverage dates.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient anesthesiology coverage for scheduled cases.
• Administer adult and pediatric general anesthesia.
• Provide cardiac, epidural, spinal, obstetric, thoracic, vascular and spine anesthesia.
• Perform invasive lines, airway management and regional anesthesia.
• Supervise CRNAs as required and provide weekend call coverage.
• Document care in Epic and enter hours in Vemsta.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Indiana Medical License or IMLC
• Board: Board Certified preferred; Board Certified or Board Eligible accepted, with certification required within 5 years of residency
• Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Experience: No minimum years of experience specified
• Vaccinations: Flu and COVID vaccination required, or approved medical/religious exemption
• Other Qualifications: Drive-in candidate preferred; must be fully credentialed with locum agency; must provide 12 months of procedure logs; must sign Anesthesia Attestation for all procedures; must commit to orientation and all listed coverage dates

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient anesthesiology coverage for scheduled surgical and procedural cases.
• Administer adult and pediatric general anesthesia.
• Provide cardiac, epidural, spinal, obstetric, thoracic, orthopedic, vascular, and spine anesthesia.
• Perform required invasive lines, airway management, regional anesthesia, and other mandatory procedures.
• Supervise CRNAs as required.
• Provide weekend call coverage as scheduled.
• Complete provider order entry and document patient care in Epic.
• Enter worked hours through the Vemsta timekeeping platform.
