Job summary

PeaceHealth in Ketchikan, Alaska seeks an experienced Anesthesiologist to provide independent anesthesia coverage in a community hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will manage a broad case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, GI, plastics, pediatric dental procedures, and women's health surgeries, with capability for ultrasound-guided blocks and central lines. EPIC EMR is used for all charting.

Qualifications

• Anesthesiologist capable of independent practice.
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties (general, orthopedics, ENT, OB, trauma, pediatric dentistry).
• Ability to perform ultrasound-guided regional blocks, OB labor epidurals, and central venous access.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS or PALs required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia coverage in Ketchikan, Alaska with solo practice and no backup.
• Support diverse procedures across orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, GI, plastics, pediatric dental, women's health surgeries, and urology.
• Work with EPIC EMR for documentation and ordering.

PeaceHealth is looking for an experienced Anesthesiologist in Ketchikan, Alaska!

Ideal Candidate

• Possessesa diverse skill set and be comfortable practicing independently.
• Experience in certain specialties including but not limited to General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB, Trauma, and Pediatric Dental
• Able to perform ultrasound guided blocks, OB labor epidurals, and central lines

Practice Highlights

• Schedule is Monday-Friday: 7:00am -3:30pm
• Must be comfortable practicing solo with no backup
• Regularly serves orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN. Also, ENT, GI, Plastics, Pediatric Dental, Women's Health Surgeries, Urology
• EPIC EMR

Pay: Day rate $3,056 per shift + $775 for weekday call, $1,250 for weekend call

• Certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALs required as a condition of employment within 30 days of hire.
