Job summary

Novant Health's Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing/Anesthesia Support role to assist the anesthesia team across locations. You will be involved in sterilization, packing, and resupply of anesthesia supplies and equipment, with significant patient contact during procedures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma; prior experience is preferred but not required. RQI Responder certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required.
• Licensure/Certification: RQI Responder – must obtain within 90 days of hire, required.
• Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; understands proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering ability to meet supply and demand; some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and after patient procedures in any location anesthesia is provided across Novant Health
• Proficient in sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupply of the most complex anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment
• Has significant patient contact while assisting in procedures and works collaboratively with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources
