Job Summary And Qualifications

The Anesthesia Technician plays a crucial role in delivering patient-centered care by providing anesthesia support during surgeries. Responsibilities include preparing supplies, monitoring equipment, and collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and organizing equipment and supplies for scheduled and emergency cases.
  • Transporting and setting up equipment, ensuring decontamination and functionality.
  • Handling medications and fluids per department procedures.
  • Performing room turnover duties including cleaning, restocking, and equipment maintenance.
  • Calibrating and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, reporting damages.
  • Responding to on-call situations as scheduled.

Qualifications include:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
