Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Mary Immaculate Good Health Pharmacy

About the Role

This is a PRN position with an as-needed schedule to cover PTO/vacation in the outpatient pharmacy. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Job Summary

The Certified Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy services, including preparing pharmaceuticals, inventory control, compliance audits, financial transactions, customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. Works under the supervision of a Pharmacist as part of a healthcare team.

Essential Functions
  • Receiving and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity
  • Reviewing and recording patient information in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Educating patients on medication usage
  • Supporting daily pharmacy operations
  • Adhering to infection-control protocols for safety
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid ExCPT Certification from the National Health Career Association or PTCB certification, along with registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
Experience & Skills
  • Experience in retail, outpatient, hospital, or home infusion pharmacy (preferred)
  • Proactive in a dynamic environment
  • Professional interaction with staff and patients
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques
