UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in safe, efficient procedures. The role spans neonatal to geriatric care with high skill and professional communication within the OR team.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining supply chains, and supporting ectopic (out-of-OR) procedures. On-call nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Strong infection control and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or high school diploma with related science coursework; BLS certification required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment, meds, and supplies in ORs and mobile carts.
• Operate and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and monitoring systems.
• Support Cell Saver and Liver Transplant programs with equipment readiness.
• Provide on-call, out-of-OR support for anesthesia care as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with hospital infection control policies.
