Job summary

Thompson Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiology teams in a high‑volume surgical environment. You will prepare anesthesia equipment, manage medications, and assist with complex cases, including out‑of‑OR procedures.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, BLS, and at least 1 year of direct patient care. The role requires on‑call shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent mix of education and clinical experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• ASATT certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and setup anesthesia equipment, medications, and supplies for operating rooms and mobile carts.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, operation, and troubleshooting for anesthesia machines and monitors.
• Support during ectopic (out-of-OR) procedures with proper safety equipment.
• Maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies and ensure sterile technique compliance.
• Enter anesthesia billing information and maintain documentation.
