Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining anesthesia supplies. This role works under supervision of anesthesiologists and CRNAs to enable safe and efficient care across procedures.

It emphasizes sterile technique, readiness, and collaboration among team members in the operating rooms and related areas. Required BLS; LVN or tech experience preferred.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
• College coursework in Biology, Physiology, Anatomy preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
• 1-2 years of LVN experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare anesthetizing locations with equipment and monitoring devices.
• Assist with aseptic or sterile procedures including airway management.
• Monitor and report vital signs changes to anesthesia providers.
• Stock anesthesia supplies for operating rooms and other areas.
• Assist with ABGs, ACTs, and other point-of-care tests.
• Deliver blood products and pharmaceuticals as requested by the team.
• Provide guidance to other anesthesia technicians and staff as needed.
• Assist patient transport, positioning, and monitor application.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain readiness for routine and emergency procedures.
• Adhere to policies and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
