Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital seeks an anesthesia support professional to set up monitoring equipment and assist in the operating room. The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and basic computer skills.

Shifts run 0630-1500, Monday-Thursday, with one or two weekends per year and one holiday on call. Schedule is full-time, 32 hours per week, with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up monitoring equipment in the operating room and prepare anesthesia carts and supplies.
• Assist with insertion of arterial lines, central venous catheters, and airway equipment as directed.
• Calibrate monitoring systems and ensure patient data reads accurately.
• Transfer patients to and from the OR and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow department policies and demonstrate age-appropriate patient care.
