Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Northbrook, IL.

You will consult on OR schedules, prepare anesthesia equipment, and assist with patient readiness for procedures, ensuring room turnover and readiness across multiple OR areas. Responsibilities include maintaining anesthesia machines, performing routine troubleshooting with Biomedical Engineering, and adhering to sterile technique and disinfection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates in sciences preferred.
• BLS certification required; ASATT certification preferred.
• Previous OR or healthcare experience preferred.
• Able to read/write English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Consults OR schedule to determine supply needs.
• Prepares and supports anesthesia equipment and supplies across OR areas.
• Maintains and troubleshoots anesthesia machines and monitors.
• Assists anesthesia staff with patient prep for procedures.
• Moves equipment to ensure room turnover and readiness.
• Maintains availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures.
• Adheres to disinfection and aseptic protocols as required.
