UVA Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers, CRNAs, residents, and surgical teams in a fast-paced perioperative environment. The role emphasizes equipment readiness, patient safety, and collaborative care.

The Anesthesia Technician provides critical technical and clinical support to anesthesia care providers throughout the perioperative environment. This role is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting with invasive monitoring and vascular access procedures, and supporting operating room readiness for a wide range of surgical and procedural cases.
Working collaboratively with anesthesiologists, anesthesia residents, CRNAs, nurses, and surgical staff, the Anesthesia Technician helps ensure the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia services while supporting UVA Health's commitment to exceptional patient outcomes.

As an Anesthesia Technician, you'll work alongside highly skilled clinicians, gain exposure to advanced surgical procedures and technologies, and contribute directly to the care of patients across the Commonwealth and beyond.
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: 1 year of experience required. Experience as CNA, EMT, PCT or CMA highly preferred.
Licensure: BLS Certification required. Additional certifications/licensure may be required for the position. Please see position requisition for specific requirements.
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs. Working in environment with fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $19.49 - $30.21 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
