Job summary

The University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Anesthesiology Department in Seattle is recruiting an Anesthesiology Technician for a full-time, day-shift position. You will assist the operating room physician, monitor patient vitals, and support the anesthesia team with equipment and procedures.

Ideal candidates have EMT or Paramedic background, plus relevant electronics/biomedical training; MA-Phlebotomy certification is required within three months of employment.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Biomedical Electronics or two years of post-secondary science education with one year electronics experience.
• Two years of experience as Anesthesiology Technician I, Paramedic, Laboratory Technician, or equivalent.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot anesthesia-related equipment (blood pressure monitors, EKG/EEG, etc.).
• Obtain blood samples and provide blood parameters as directed, with MA-Phlebotomy certification within 3 months of employment.
• Disinfect anesthesia equipment and support anesthesia services as trained.
