Job summary

University of Washington – UW Medical Center Montlake Anesthesiology Department seeks an Anesthesiology Technician for full-time, evening shifts. Primary duties include assisting OR physicians, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining anesthesia equipment.

Training eligibility includes EMT/Paramedic backgrounds with patient care skills. Required are an AA in Biomedical Electronics or two years of science-focused education with electronics experience; phlebotomy certification due within three

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Electronics or two years of post-secondary education with sciences and one year of electronics service experience.
• Two years of experience as Anesthesiology Technician I, Paramedic, Laboratory Technician, or equivalent.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for min qualifications per policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot anesthesia-related equipment (blood pressure monitors, EKG/EEG, clinical analyzers).
• Obtain blood samples and provide blood parameters; MA-Phlebotomy certification required within first three months.
• Low- and high-level disinfection of anesthesia equipment.
• Related duties to support Anesthesia Services.
