Boston Children's Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support safe and efficient care in the OR. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining anesthesia equipment, assisting anesthesia providers during procedures, and ensuring preparation of machines, carts, and specialized equipment.

The position supports Main ORs at Boston Children's and Franciscan Children's locations, with 4-5 hour afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical work experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior anesthesia experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and stock the anesthesia workroom and equipment in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations
• Assist anesthesia providers in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia
• Provide specialized equipment to support anesthesia staff when needed
• Prepare anesthesia machines and carts for use the following day
• Assemble and prepare intravenous (IV) solutions for anesthesia providers
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to support prompt OR turnover
• Assist with difficult airway management by providing necessary equipment (e.g., video laryngoscope, fiberoptic intubation cart)
• Prepare age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway support

This role may support the Main ORs at both Boston Children's and Franciscan Children's locations.

Schedule: This is a part time position. Will work 4-5 hr shifts in the afternoons.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
