University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team at Bell Hospital. This full-time role assists anesthesiologists, perfusionists and OR staff with patient care and equipment management.

Hours are 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, Monday to Friday, four 10-hour days. The position emphasizes device calibration, infection control and timely management of lines and catheters in a busy perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Associate of Science preferred.
• 1+ years anesthesia technician or perioperative clinical experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Performs procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing physiological monitoring functions with devices and techniques.
• Maintains inventory levels and supports cost-effective supply management.
• Calibrates and troubleshoots invasive monitoring devices; arterial line setup and PA catheter setup.
• Assists with cardiac output monitors setup and ECGs.
• Supports infection control and timely changes of indwelling catheters and lines.
• Ensures professional, clinical and technical competencies for the assigned unit.
