Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Anesthesia Technician on a full-time day shift (5:30 AM–2:00 PM). The role supports anesthesiologists, perfusionists and OR staff, handling invasive monitoring devices and equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, performing device setup, adhering to infection control, and ensuring safe anesthesia services. Prior anesthesia tech or perioperative experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate of Science preferred.
• 1+ year(s) in anesthesia tech or perioperative/procedural patient-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, records and analyzes physiological monitoring with anesthesia devices.
• Maintains inventory and supports cost-effective supply management.
• Calibrates and troubleshoots arterial lines, PA catheters and cardiac output monitors.
• Attaches ECG and troubleshoots monitoring equipment; follows infection control guidelines.
• Provides first-pass troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment.
