Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Merced, CA is seeking an Anesthesia Aide to support anesthesia services and equipment in Surgical Services. You will ensure readiness, assist during procedures, and maintain supplies for neonatal through geriatric patients.

The role requires CPR, a minimum of 1 year in a surgical setting, and familiarity with anesthesia machines. On-call duties and participation in ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a surgical environment.
• Anesthesia tech training or equivalent on the job training.
• Experience with anesthesia machines and equipment.
• Willingness to take call shifts.
• Must pass quarterly AHA RQI competency post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper function of anesthesia equipment in ORs and calibrate machines.
• Maintain supplies and equipment inventories for anesthesia procedures.
• Support anesthesiologists and nurses during surgeries and on-call.
• Disinfect, clean and sterilize anesthesia related equipment.
• Attend meetings and participate in department goals.
