The University of Michigan's Anesthesiology department seeks an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesia providers with administration and monitoring across various settings. The Anesthesiology department has an exciting opportunity for an Anesthesia Technician to assist the anesthesia provider with administration and monitoring of anesthesia in a variety of settings. The technician provides support for anesthesia providers by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, transport ICU patients, perform labs at point of care, and resupply of critical items before, during, and after anesthesia care.

In addition to perioperative responsibilities, Anesthesia Technicians maintain a clean workroom, run quality control tests on point of care lab equipment, and additional duties as required.
High school diploma or GED that meets the education requirement from the College of American Pathologists for point of care lab testing.
1 year or more experience as an Anesthesia Technician or comparable position in healthcare.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
