Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Tucker, GA seeks an Anesthesia Technician to ensure the availability of anesthesia supplies and to set up and maintain specialty carts and machines. You will maintain aseptic conditions and follow infection control guidelines while supporting daily clinical operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures the availability of supplies needed for anesthesia services.
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains specialty carts and anesthesia machines, including exchange of medication trays.
• Maintains equipment and related supplies in aseptic condition.
• Cleans and disinfects contaminated medical equipment.
• Retrieves medical equipment and devices from other areas of the hospital as needed.
• Follows federal, Joint Commission, and organizational guidelines for sterile technique and infection control.
• Attends in-services, seminars, and other educational programs to maintain knowledge and skills.
• Adheres to quality assurance procedures during daily work activities.
• Assists with the training and orientation of new employees.
• Sets up inventory and restocks specialty carts after each use.
• Maintains adequate stock of commonly used anesthesia supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects anesthesia machines, monitors, cables, and other key medical equipment.
• Attaches accessories to anesthesia machines and prepares emergency airway equipment.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
