Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support safe anesthesia delivery and equipment management.

You will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, assist with line placement and airway management, and ensure clean, organized anesthesia carts across locations. Teamwork and strict infection control are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS or GED diploma
• One (1) year of experience
• BLS through AHA - within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with physiological monitoring and notify providers of abnormal signs
• Clean and maintain anesthesia machines and monitors after procedures
• Stock and organize anesthesia supplies across all locations

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Anesthesia Technician, you will provide critical support in the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia, assisting providers with equipment and supplies for diverse surgical and non-surgical cases.

Every day, you will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications before, during, and after cases. This includes performing complex procedures under direction (e.g., setting up and assisting with line placement, intubation, extubation), managing supply inventory, room turnover, and patient positioning/transport.

To be successful in this vital role, you will demonstrate a thorough understanding of anesthesia equipment and sterile techniques, possess meticulous attention to detail, and exhibit excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist anesthesia providers with physiologial monitoring of patients, notifying the anesthesia providers of abnormal changes in vbital signs and physical appearance of the patient
• Clean anesthesia machines, monitors,and equipment following procedures established by Infection Control
• Stock anesthesia supploes in all anesthetizing locations, including ploss carts, fiber optic carts, emergency airway bags and any other anesthesia supply location

Pay Range

$17.67 - $24.96 /hour
