Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on filters, air conditioning, kitchens, and elevators, under supervision.

You will uphold safety standards, work professionally with staff and patients, and help maintain a clean, safe environment essential for high-quality care. The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and adherence to departmental service standards while supporting ongoing facility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, AND 0–2 years of experience.
• Must wear PPE and handle chemicals and tools correctly.
• Physically able to lift 20-50 lbs occasionally and more as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on filters, AC, elevators, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain safety and professional conduct, and positive relationships with staff and patients.
• Work under supervision by qualified personnel to ensure quality workmanship.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Technician, you'll perform routine maintenance duties including maintaining all filters, maintenance on air conditioning, mechanical kitchen, elevators, etc. All work Repairs are performed under supervision by qualified personnel.

Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial Mission & Vision.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, AND
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:

• Computer literate, Upon Hire
• Must have ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), Upon Hire
• Physical abilities (Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.), Upon Hire
