Boston Children's Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician responsible for supporting anesthesia providers and maintaining equipment in a rapid-paced, compassionate environment. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work well with a diverse team.

This Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for:
Cleaning, maintaining and stocking the anesthesia workroom and equipment in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations
Assisting the anesthesia provider in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia
Providing specialized equipment to assist anesthesia staff when appropriate
Preparing anesthesia machines and carts for use the following day
Assembling and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions for anesthesia provider
Working with perioperative team to ensure prompt OR turnover
Assisting with difficult airway management by providing equipment needs such as video laryngoscope and fiberoptic intubation cart
To qualify, you must have:
A High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
The ability to exchange information on factual matters, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and/or hospital employees
The ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies
