Job summary

UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is looking for a Full-Time Anesthesia Technician to support the Anesthesia Department at the McCandless location. Shifts are rotating daylight, 8 or 10 hours, with on-call every 4-5 weeks.

The role includes stocking and distributing anesthesia supplies, transporting equipment, assisting with offsite cases, preparing medications and drugs, setting up invasive lines and monitoring, and maintaining OR readiness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1 year of anesthesia, emergency/medical or related experience required.
• Or graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program.

Responsibilities

• Maintains anesthesia supplies and drugs by establishing inventory levels and restocking.
• Transports gas machines and anesthesia equipment to/off-site locations.
• Assist with offsite anesthesia cases.
• Distributes medications to anesthesia team for patient care.
• Disassembles, decontaminates and sterilizes anesthesia equipment.
• Sets up invasive monitoring lines and prep for anesthesia procedures.
