Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Anesthesiology team by setting up and calibrating anesthesia equipment, assisting with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, and ensuring readiness of supplies for procedures. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technician program (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• One year of operating room experience for Trainee track (or six months for other paths) as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Assists with invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices and patient positioning.
• Performs quality control and troubleshooting on anesthesia equipment; inspects and labels fluids/medications.
• Sets up anesthesia equipment, maintains sterility, restocks cabinets and returns unused supplies.
