The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Anesthesia Technician Manager for the Heart Center. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative and Procedural Services, you will oversee day-to-day Anesthesia Tech operations, mentor staff, supervise staffing, and ensure high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• 1+ year supervisory experience as Anesthesia Technician Supervisor/Lead or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of regulatory standards and ensures compliance; monitors performance.
• Oversees staffing schedules with supervisor support.
• Collaborates with Director and physician leadership to set patient care standards and evaluate staff compliance.
• Maintains a safe, caring environment conducive to health teaching.
• Oversees hiring, education and performance evaluation of AT staff.
• Creates a supportive work environment and fosters respect among patients and staff.
• Identifies growth opportunities and coordinates staff education.
• Keeps current on clinical and management topics; promotes professional development.
• Manages department budgets and monitors costs; supports Lean initiatives.
• Maintains anesthesia environment, equipment, and staff; conducts quality control on anesthesia machines.
• Evaluates capital equipment and disposable items in consultation with perioperative leadership.
• Acts as liaison to other departments and implements policies to meet system goals.
