Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas is seeking an Anesthesia Technician 2 to assist anesthesiologists before, during, and after procedures. You will prepare and calibrate equipment, stock supplies in the OR, and help ensure patient safety throughout anesthesia.

Key duties include arranging drugs, maintaining carts, passing instruments, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and supporting surgical teams in the GI Lab and Radiology as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year minimum in a related role.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Arrange drugs and set up the instrument table for anesthesia in ORs and satellite areas.
• Ensure anesthesia cart and supply cabinets contain adequate supplies for procedures.
• Assist Anesthesiologist by passing supplies, instruments, and lines.
• Clean tables, equipment, and work area in ORs after each case.
• Respond to supply and drug requests from OR staff and retrieve items as needed.
• Washes, dries, and prepares anesthesia equipment for sterilization.
