Job summary

Tufts Medical Center, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking an entry-level Operating Room Support role to assist anesthesia teams, prepare patient equipment, and assist with regional anesthesia and invasive monitor placement.

The position focuses on maintaining anesthesia equipment, stocking supplies, and supporting the surgical team with routine clinical tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and efficiency in the OR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Emergency Medical Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff with patient care activities and equipment setup.
• Set up and calibrate invasive monitors and monitoring equipment.
• Prepare IV solutions, arterial lines and related equipment for anesthesia use.
• Order and organize daily anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the OR and coordinate maintenance.
